Look! It’s my name! On the cover of a book!!
I’m so excited to reveal the cover for my first ever to-be-published novella here at The Pagan Princesses! How Beauty Met the Beast goes on sale November 19. Even the bookstores don’t have the cover yet. The Realm gets a crack at it first!
The “back cover” (digital books don’t really have those, but the text that would go on the back) reads:
Scarred. Damaged. Living with a terrible secret. Agent of the Underlight Wesley “Hauk” Haukon has nothing left but the fight for liberty against the oppressive Order of Ananke. He’s starting to lose hope…and then he sees her.
Despite her night job as a burlesque dancer, grad student Jolie Benoit has always played the mostly good girl. That all changes following a scorching sexual encounter with a stranger whose face she doesn’t see. After she’s kidnapped by thugs and rescued by a man with a very familiar voice, Jolie becomes a pawn in a struggle she never knew existed.
Hauk knows he cannot have her, and resolves to protect his heart and his secrets. But as they work together and grow closer, he finds new reason to keep fighting. Dare he risk hope in a new life, one where Jolie can see past his ravaged face and where their friendship can grow into something more?
It’s 38,000 words (about 125 pages maybe?) and will sell for $1.99.
Shameless self-promotion alert! Hear ye, hear ye! I have a web presence as an author. An honest-to-goodness, somebody-else-is-promoting-me, please-visit-and-like-my-pages web presence. You can find me online here:
I’m lining up a blogging tour and some reviews over the next couple months as the date gets closer, and I’ll keep those posted on my FB if you want to follow along. If you’re interested in me visiting your site (or doing a review if you are/know a reviewer), drop me an email and we’ll talk.
Thanks for celebrating with me today. I’m so thrilled to be starting this journey, and I love having The Realm to share with. If you have any questions about the book, my publisher, how I got published, or anything leave a comment; I’m happy to answer!
+ Featured Image: Yes, that’s me kissing a painting of a fuzzy beast-thing. Because of copyright issues, I’m not allowed to alter the cover in any way (like, say, crop it to fit in our featured image bar) so you’re stuck with a silly picture from my author shoot where me and k!, who took the awesome photos, were goofing around.
