When Jax and I first started this blog, we didn’t really think we would post political commentary. Ah, we were so young and naive 6 months ago! Well, maybe not young. [Jax’s voice in GG’s head, “Speak for yourself!â€] And not exactly naive. We just didn’t know what direction the blog would take.
Yes, we are princesses who like to host parties. But we are also fairly informed and fairly articulate women who vote in most elections. So, yeah, our political leanings have made their way into our posts (for example, our open letters, posts on being openly pagan in a mixed crowd, and our post on accusations of witchcraft). I like to think we have been good about providing citations as evidence when we wax political (or wane – depending on whether or not you agree with our political posts!). We are always looking for sites that treat paganism with journalistic integrity.
Imagine my delight when I discovered The Pagan Newswire Collective (PNC). Thanks to Jax, I was already a fan of The Wild Hunt, one of PNC’s partners. Now, I have a source to find other journalistic sources for pagan news and political musing from a pagan point of view.  PNC describes themselves as:
“….an open collective of Pagan journalists, newsmakers, media liaisons, and writers who are interested in sharing and promoting primary-source reporting from within our interconnected communities.â€
I have already enjoyed looking through the Projects, Bureaus and Partners links. I also joined their Facebook site and have been catching up on their posts. Check out PNC and get informed about goings-on in the national pagan community. And let us know what you think!
Note: This post is not an endorsement of political views expressed on the PNC or any of its links.
